Cancellation Policy

Our policy for cancellations, refunds and date changes. The specific figures below are placeholders for you to confirm.

Template notice: this cancellation policy is a starting draft to launch with, not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer familiar with Indian consumer and tourism regulations review it — and fill in the bracketed placeholders — before relying on it.

Cancelling a tour

[Fill in your actual policy — for example: cancellations made more than [X] days before the tour date receive a [Y]% refund; cancellations within [X] days receive [Z]%. The placeholders below follow a common structure, but the exact numbers are your call, not a default we've assumed on your behalf.]

Suggested structure (edit before publishing)

  • More than 14 days before the tour: [e.g. full refund, minus any non-refundable third-party costs already paid, such as pre-booked monument tickets].
  • 7–14 days before the tour: [e.g. 50% refund].
  • Less than 7 days before the tour: [e.g. no refund, or a smaller partial refund].
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows: [e.g. no refund].

Changes to travel dates

[State your policy for rescheduling instead of cancelling outright — e.g. free of charge if requested more than X days in advance, subject to guide availability.]

Cancellations by us

In the rare event we need to cancel or significantly change a confirmed tour (for reasons such as guide illness or a monument closure), we'll offer [a full refund / a rescheduled date / an alternative itinerary — specify your approach] as soon as possible.

Non-refundable costs

Some third-party costs — such as pre-purchased monument tickets or train reservations — may not be refundable once booked, regardless of when you cancel. We'll flag anything non-refundable before you pay for it.
