New Delhi City Tour

Colonial-era boulevards, Mughal-era tombs, and the capital's modern landmarks — a full day through New Delhi with context most bus tours skip.

What this tour is

"New Delhi" is the planned, colonial-era capital built by the British in the early 20th century — wide boulevards, government buildings, and a very different feel from Old Delhi's dense lanes.

This tour covers New Delhi's major landmarks with the historical through-line connecting Mughal-era sites to the British Raj to modern India, rather than treating each stop as an isolated photo opportunity.

Typical stops

  1. 1Humayun's Tomb — the Mughal garden-tomb that architecturally set the template for the Taj Mahal decades later.
  2. 2India Gate and the surrounding government quarter (Rajpath).
  3. 3Qutub Minar, the 73-metre minaret dating to the 12th century.
  4. 4Lotus Temple, if time and interest allow.

Questions about this tour

A full day covers the main sites comfortably. It can be trimmed to a half day by focusing on 2-3 highlights instead of all four.

It's a mix — Delhi's landmarks are spread out, so private transport moves you between sites, with guided walking at each stop.

Most travelers do both, usually on separate days since they're different in pace and character. Ask us about pairing them if Old Delhi's heritage walk fits your schedule.
